At the end of the 19th century, the most important architects, artists and craftsmen
of Catalan Modernism, Antoni Gaudí and
Lluís Domènech i Montaner among them, changed the aspect forever of the Villa of Comillas, in Cantabria. Their work resulted in monumental works such as the El Capricho building, the Pontifical Deminary, the Sobrellano Palace, the Chapel-Pantheon of the Marquises
o Comillas or the cemetery.
